Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Farm Administration Manager at our central office in Somersham, Cambs. This is a full-time position, working 5 days/week with occasional overtime. For the right candidate(s), job-share options would be considered. The role reports directly to the Estate Director, working alongside him to drive the business forward.

  1. Provide PA support to the Director, including managing meetings and filing as required.
  2. Monitor budgets, produce cashflows, and prepare financial reports for the Director.
  3. Prepare RPA submissions and applications for agricultural grants.
  4. Liaise with landlords regarding CFAs, attend quarterly meetings, take minutes, and follow up on all matters arising.
  5. Manage grain marketing, negotiate with traders for best prices, and maintain grain stock records.
  6. Maintain SOYL records, process P&K requirements, produce variable rate seed plans and associated shape files, and transfer data wirelessly and manually to operators.
  7. Promote the business actively and stay alert to new opportunities.
  8. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  9. A qualification in Rural Land Management is preferred but not essential.
