The Role

As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering a diverse and engaging music curriculum that helps students develop their musical talents. This role provides the opportunity to work with motivated students and support their growth in music, while also contributing to the broader extra-curricular music offerings at the school.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Teaching and Delivering Lessons: Plan and deliver engaging music lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring all students are challenged and supported in their musical development.
  2. Fostering Musical Creativity: Encourage students to explore different musical genres and techniques, developing both their technical skills and their creativity in performance and composition.
  3. Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback, helping them to improve and achieve their full potential.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the Music Department to share resources, ideas, and best practices, ensuring consistency and high standards across the curriculum.
  5. Extra-Curricular Activities: Support and participate in extra-curricular music initiatives such as school concerts, music clubs, and performances, providing students with opportunities to showcase their talents and further develop their skills outside the classroom.
