Are you a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher looking for a rewarding role in a thriving state school? We are seeking an enthusiastic Chemistry Teacher to join our academic community in Reading, where you will inspire and engage students with the fascinating world of chemistry.
As a Chemistry Teacher at our state school, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality lessons to students across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5. You’ll help students develop a deep understanding of chemical principles and foster a love for science, all while contributing to the overall academic success of the school.
Teaching Excellence: Deliver engaging Chemistry lessons that challenge students and promote critical thinking.
Curriculum Delivery: Teach Chemistry in line with the national curriculum, ensuring students gain a strong foundation in key topics such as atomic structure, chemical reactions, and organic chemistry.
Student Success: Guide students to achieve their best possible outcomes in public exams, supporting their development both academically and personally.
Plan and Deliver Lessons: Create and deliver innovative and engaging Chemistry lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, ensuring that lessons are both challenging and accessible to all students.
Foster Student Development: Help students build a strong understanding of Chemistry and develop practical laboratory skills.
Collaborative Teaching: Work closely with other Chemistry Teachers to share best practices and ensure consistency in lesson delivery and assessments across the department.
Extra-Curricular Activities: Contribute to the department’s extra-curricular offerings, such as science clubs, field trips, and student science fairs, to enhance the learning experience outside of the classroom.
A Qualified Chemistry Teacher: You should have a degree in Chemistry (or a related subject) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
A Passion for Chemistry: We are looking for someone who is passionate about Chemistry and committed to making the subject engaging and accessible to all students.
Experience with Chemistry: While this position is open to both experienced teachers and early career teachers (ECTs), experience teaching Chemistry at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 is desirable.
Collaborative and Engaging: You should be a team player, eager to contribute to the Chemistry Department and share resources and teaching ideas with colleagues.
Student-Centered Approach: We need someone who is committed to supporting and developing students of all abilities and inspiring them to excel in Chemistry.
