Job summary

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a Family Worker to support children, young people and families, working within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver tailored interventions. You will lead assessments and be the Lead Professional for the family, organising and delivering group work programmes for parents and carers.

A full driving licence and ability to travel across the county are required. The role focuses on building resilience, reducing risk, and enabling families to thrive through

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the UK.

You will work alongside children social care teams to deliver tailored interventions that help reduce risk and prevent escalation of difficulties to enable families to thrive., No two days are the same in this rewarding and dynamic role. As a Family Worker, you will:

• Identify strengths within families and empower them to make sustainable changes.
• Help reduce risks and prevent the need for more intensive interventions.
• You will complete assessments and be Lead Professional for the family. As lead professional you will work in partnership with a multi- agency team around the family.

• You will be required to hold a full and valid driving license and have access to a vehicle or have the ability to otherwise travel efficiently across the County. Interviews may include a young people's panel in addition to a Targeted Support management panel and you will be required to complete a short case study exercise.
