The Northumberland Family Time (Contact) Service supervises family time for children and families across Northumberland. The role supports families in spending quality time together when they cannot live together. We work with very vulnerable children, so maintaining professional relationships while managing complex family needs and behaviors is essential. A Family Time Worker is allocated a family and remains with them during sessions, observing and recording interactions and parenting, providing advice if requested, and intervening only to ensure the child's safety.
We supervise family time at dedicated venues and within the local community. The main office is in Ashington; however, staff work across Northumberland with flexible and agile working arrangements.
This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, references, and health clearances. Further details are available in the job description and person specification. We offer comprehensive support and training to all Family Time Workers.
