A local government organization in Ashington is seeking a Family Time Worker to support vulnerable children and families. The role includes supervising family interactions, maintaining professional relationships, and managing complex family dynamics. Ideal candidates will have a minimum NVQ 3 in working with children and families and experience in direct work with families. This position offers flexible working across Northumberland.
We supervise family time within our dedicated venues and the local community. The main office base is in Ashington; however, staff will work across the whole county of Northumberland, adopting agile and flexible working.

The Northumberland Family Time (Contact) Service supervises family interactions across Northumberland. The role involves supporting families to spend quality time together when they are unable to live together. Working with very vulnerable children, we maintain professional relationships while managing complex family needs and behaviors. A Family Time Worker will be assigned a family and remain with them during each session, observing, recording interactions and parenting, providing advice if requested, and intervening only to ensure a child's safety.
