Job description

Family Therapist / Systemic Psychotherapist

What you'll be working: This role is full-time, 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday. We support a positive work-life balance and are open to discussing flexible working arrangements to accommodate your needs.

What you'll be doing:

  1. Undertake therapeutic work with patients and their families based on clinical needs, aligning with the treatment philosophy of the unit.
  2. Maintain effective clinical records and case notes according to policy.
  3. Provide evidence-based mental health and systemic psychotherapy services across the hospital.
  4. Conduct systemic assessments, treatment, and consultations with client systems including children, young people, their families, carers, and professional networks.
  5. Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and departmental meetings.
  6. Contribute to team cooperation and performance through active engagement in meetings.
  7. Offer coaching, training, mentoring, and management of junior staff and student placements.
  8. Ensure compliance with relevant codes of practice and regulations (e.g., MHA1983, Care Standards Act 2000, Children’s Act, Human Rights Act).
  9. Prioritize safety and protect human rights of individuals.
