Looking for a Family Therapistrole where you have the support and development from over 50 QualifiedPsychologists and Psychological Therapists?

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Family Therapist to join St Andrews Healthcare in Northampton on a full-time or part time permanent basis to work across our CAMHS Service. The role could suit a multisystemic family therapists (MST) too.

Previous experience in mental health settings, particularly inpatient services, would be an advantage but not essential.

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)

Our CAMHS is a Trauma Informed Care Service, ensuring that everything we do is driven by an understanding of how trauma affects the whole person; physically, mentally and socially. We provide low secure Tier 4 CAMHS inpatient services, with the objective of enabling young people to live well and to their full potential in the least restrictive environment possible.

Main duties of the job

Duties of the role:-

  • Provide family therapy assessment/treatment services
  • Arrange and attend family therapy meetings & workshops
  • Work effectively with other agencies including social services, primary care & the voluntary sector
  • Contribute to the development of the multidisciplinary team
  • Ensure that all duties are carried out in line with our policies & statutory requirements
  • Engage in clinical governance & regular audits of the service
  • Maintain accurate records of clinical activity & keep up to date with current research

More about you:-

  • Masters degree qualified in Family Therapy
  • AFT & UKCP registered or equivalent
  • Experienced in working with complex family dynamics & high levels of risk
  • Skilled in clinical governance, auditing & clinical supervision
  • Passionate about working with people with a range of complex mental health needs
  • Dynamic, enthusiastic, compassionate, professional & committed to working to a high standards
