An established industry player is seeking dedicated Family Support Workers to join their team in Glasgow. Our Aberlour Early Intervention Family Support Service in Glasgow works in partnership with children and young people (aged 12 years and under) and their families to develop relationship-based, strengths-focused, whole-family support.
We are recruiting two Family Support Workers, each working 37.5 hours per week, on a fixed term until 31st March 2026. As a Family Support Worker, you will develop person-centred relationships with families based on 'VOICE, VALIDATION, and HOPE'. You will work directly with families to build on their strengths and interests, help children and families develop skills and confidence, and strengthen community connections. Our goal is to help children, young people, and families feel safe, confident, capable, and included, providing support including evenings and weekends. We believe in working alongside families and empowering them to lead positive change in their lives across various settings including homes, schools, and communities.
Ideal candidates will have experience working with vulnerable families, assessing strengths and needs, and planning, delivering, and evaluating interventions that enable families to thrive. Experience with child and adult protection issues and working with families affected by domestic abuse, mental health, or substance misuse is required. Candidates should hold a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above and have experience working directly with children or young people and their families.
