Job description

Job Title: Family Support Worker (Part-Time)

Please note: This is a Long Term Temporary position starting ASAP.

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a part-time (18.5 hours per week) Family Support Worker to join our safeguarding team at Bolton Council. This role involves working alongside Safeguarding Social Workers to deliver high-quality interventions with children and families, supporting positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supporting family time activities
  2. Assisting with home visits
  3. Direct work with children
  4. Working with families on behaviour management, routines, and boundaries
  5. Budgeting support and referring families to appropriate services

This work will involve families involved in Child in Need, Child Protection, and court proceedings. The role requires some office-based work and the ability to travel to Bolton at short notice.
