Job summary

Prison Advice and Care Trust (Pact) seeks a Family Support Worker (Visits Centre Assistant) at HMP Swaleside. Based in the visitor centre, you’ll help welcome visiting families, provide information and guidance, organise activities for children, and ensure refreshments are available to make visits positive and stress-free.

You’ll work with colleagues and partner agencies, ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed, and contribute to improving our family support services.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with people facing difficulties.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and support visiting families in the visitor centre.
• Offer information, guidance and refreshment provisions during visits.
• Organise activities for children to make visits positive and less stressful.
• Support safeguarding and child protection procedures in line with policy.
• Collaborate with colleagues and partner agencies to improve family support services.
