Job Opportunity: Family Support Worker (Part-Time)

Please note: This is a Long Term Temporary position starting ASAP.

We are currently recruiting for a part-time Family Support Worker (18.5 hours per week) to join the safeguarding team at Bolton Council.

Role Overview

In this role, you will collaborate with Safeguarding Social Workers to deliver high-quality interventions with children and families, aiming to achieve positive outcomes. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Supporting family time activities
  2. Conducting home visits
  3. Engaging in direct work with children
  4. Assisting families with behaviour management, routines, and boundaries
  5. Supporting budgeting and referring families to appropriate support services

This work involves working with families involved in Child in Need, Child Protection, and court proceedings.

Additional Details

Candidates should expect to work partly in the office and be able to travel to Bolton on short notice to meet service needs. Free on-site parking is available.
