Job summary

The White Horse Federation's Bowerhill Primary School in Melksham is seeking a nurturing Family Support Worker to join our dedicated team. You will work with parents, carers and pupils to remove barriers to participation and liaise with external agencies to support pupils.

The role is permanent, 13 hours over 39 weeks with flexibility in days; NVQ Level 3 or similar experience required. A supportive leadership team and extensive CPD opportunities accompany this position.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as childcare, social work or family work.
• Experience working with parents, carers, pupils and outside agencies.
• Able to handle confidential and sensitive situations with discretion.
• Flexible and committed to supporting vulnerable children and families.

Responsibilities

• Work with parents, carers and pupils to enable participation and progress.
• Liaise with external agencies to support pupils and families.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
