Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

An exciting opportunity has arisen: We are currently recruiting for a part-time (18.5hrs per week) Family Support Worker to join our safeguarding team in Bolton Council.

As part of this role, you will work alongside Safeguarding Social Workers to deliver high-quality interventions with children and families to support positive outcomes.

The role includes (but is not limited to):

  • Supporting family time
  • Assisting with home visits
  • Direct work with children
  • Supporting families with behaviour management strategies, routines, and boundaries
  • Budgeting and referring families to support services

This work involves working with families involved in Child in Need, Child Protection, and court proceedings.

The candidate will be expected to work partly in the office and be able to travel to Bolton at short notice to meet service needs.
