An established industry player is seeking a passionate individual to support children, young people, and families through a strengths-based approach. This role involves collaborating with various partners to ensure effective interventions and safeguarding practices are upheld. The successful candidate will engage directly with families, delivering essential support and activities while focusing on improving outcomes in line with the Family Hubs initiative. If you are enthusiastic about making a positive impact in the community and have a strong understanding of child development, this opportunity is perfect for you.
Utilising a strengths-based approach in line with the Supporting Families criteria, the postholder will ensure a multi-agency response and the coordination of effective interventions whilst maintaining a focus on safeguarding, protection, and wellbeing of children, young people, and their families.
The role requires experience and knowledge of childhood development across the life course of 0-19/25, reflecting the intrinsic differences of developmental stages and needs of children, young people, and families. The postholder will work collaboratively with a range of partners such as education, health, SEND, voluntary sector, and social care colleagues.
We are seeking applicants who will bring a can-do approach, with positive energy and a strengths-based, aspirational outlook for the families and communities they serve. A sound understanding of early years, child, and adolescent development is required, but most importantly, the enthusiasm to ensure our services are the very best they can be. Postholders will have experience working with colleagues from other agencies such as education, health, and police.
The successful candidate will work directly with children, young people, and families in the home and across the Family Hubs Network to deliver activities and identify those who would benefit from early help support. They will support families on the Targeted Pathway for Parents in partnership with Health Visitors, Midwifery, and the Family Support team, as well as being part of an Early Help plan for a family when appropriate. The aim is to improve outcomes for vulnerable children, young people, and families, particularly in relation to the DfE's focus on Family Hubs, especially around the home learning environment, parenting, and infant feeding.
