Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a Family Support Worker to join the Early Help and Family Engagement Service in the Dinnington locality. The position is 37 hours per week, full-time and permanent, offering stable, long-term opportunities within Children’s Services.

About the Role

Our Early Help and Family Engagement Service works with children, young people and families to provide support at the earliest opportunity, helping to prevent difficulties from escalating.

We are Looking for Someone Who:
  • Has experience working directly with children, young people and families.
  • Can engage and motivate families using a strengths-based approach.
  • Has experience of, or the ability to develop skills in, assessment, planning and reviewing support with families.
  • Understands safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Builds effective working relationships with professionals and partner agencies.
  • Is resilient, reflective and committed to high-quality practice.
  • Has the ability to identify strengths, needs and opportunities for change, and work alongside families to achieve positive outcomes.
