At Action for Children, we offer more than just a job. Join us and you'll be part of a team dedicated to giving children safe and happy childhoods. See how your skills can make a real difference, helping solve the problems children and young people face every day.
As a Family Support Practitioner, you will help families build the confidence, skills and resilience needed to access Family Centres, parenting programmes and other community support services.
Working directly with families in their homes and local communities across Ceredigion, you will provide tailored practical and emotional support that helps parents and carers overcome barriers, achieve their goals and create positive outcomes for their children.
Our Preventative Family Support Service provides early help and intensive family support to families with children aged 0-11 across Ceredigion. We work alongside families who may be experiencing challenges that impact their wellbeing, relationships or ability to access community support.
Through flexible, person-centred interventions delivered in the family home, community settings and Family Centres, we help families build resilience, strengthen relationships, develop practical skills and connect with local services. Our aim is to empower families to make positive changes, improve outcomes for children and ensure families receive the right support at the right time.
Every child should have a loving home, food, warmth, the chance to grow and learn – the support to cope with life's challenges. But too many children don't.
By bringing your passion and unique skills and experience, you'll help us create change that really matters. And when we succeed, we’ll recognise what you did to make a difference.
We’ve been driven by love to take action for children for over 150 years, giving them the protection and practical help they need. A lot’s changed since 1869. But what children really need, hasn’t. So as long as children need us, we’ll be here.
We work hard to create an inclusive environment. One where individuality is celebrated and where everyone feels valued and supported. Because when we come together, with skills like yours, we're capable of amazing things.
We actively encourage applications from people with Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds and people with a disability, as these groups are under-represented within Action for Children.
Men are currently under-represented within our Children Service roles. We’d like to change that. So, we really encourage men to apply for any of our Children Service roles.

Yn Action for Children, rydym yn cynnig mwy na dim ond swydd. Ymunwch â ni a byddwch yn rhan o dîm sy'n ymroddedig i roi plentyndod diogel a hapus i blant. Gweld sut y gall eich sgiliau wneud gwahaniaeth go iawn, gan helpu i ddatrys y problemau y mae plant a phobl ifanc yn eu hwynebu bob dydd.
Fel Ymarferydd Cymorth i Deuluoedd, byddwch yn helpu teuluoedd i adeiladu'r hyder, y sgiliau a'r gwytnwch sydd eu hangen i gael mynediad at Ganolfannau Teuluoedd, rhaglenni rhianta a gwasanaethau cymorth cymunedol eraill.
Mae ein Gwasanaeth Cymorth Ataliol i Deuluoedd yn darparu cymorth cynnar a chymorth dwys i deuluoedd â phlant 0-11 oed ledled Ceredigion. Rydym yn gweithio ochr yn ochr â theuluoedd a allai fod yn profi heriau sy'n effeithio ar eu lles, eu perthnasoedd neu'u gallu i gael mynediad at gymorth cymunedol.
Trwy ymyriadau hyblyg, sy'n canolbwyntio ar y person a gyflwynir yn y cartref teuluol, lleoliadau cymunedol a Chanolfannau Teulu, rydym yn helpu teuluoedd i adeiladu gwytnwch, cryfhau perthnasoedd, datblygu sgiliau ymarferol a chysylltu â gwasanaethau lleol. Ein nod yw grymuso teuluoedd i wneud newidiadau cadarnhaol, gwella canlyniadau i blant a sicrhau bod teuluoedd yn derbyn y gefnogaeth gywir ar yr adeg iawn.
Dylai pob plentyn gael cartref cariadus, bwyd, cynhesrwydd, y cyfle i dyfu a dysgu - y gefnogaeth i ymdopi â heriau bywyd. Ond nid yw gormod o blant yn ei gwneud.
Trwy dod â'ch angerdd a'ch sgiliau a'ch profiad unigryw, byddwch yn ein helpu i greu newid sy'n wirioneddol bwysig. A phan fyddwn yn llwyddo, byddwn yn cydnabod yr hyn a wnaethoch i wneud gwahaniaeth.
Rydyn ni wedi cael ein gyrru gan gariad i weithredu dros blant ers dros 150 mlynedd, gan roi'r amddiffyniad a'r help ymarferol sydd eu hangen arnynt. Mae llawer wedi newid ers 1869. Ond nid yw'r hyn sydd ei angen ar blant mewn gwirionedd. Felly cyn belled â bod plant ein hangen ni, byddwn ni yma.
I gael rhagor o wybodaeth am ein rôl Rheolwr Gwasanaethau Maethu, edrychwch ar y disgrifiad swydd yma.
Rydym yn gweithio'n galed i greu amgylchedd cynhwysol. Un lle mae unigolrwydd yn cael ei ddathlu a lle mae pawb yn teimlo eu bod yn cael eu gwerthfawrogi a'u cefnogi. Oherwydd pan fyddwn yn dod at ein gilydd, gyda sgiliau fel eich un chi, rydym yn gallu gwneud pethau anhygoel.
Rydym yn annog ceisiadau gan bobl â chefndiroedd Du, Asiaidd a Lleiafrifoedd Ethnig a phobl ag anabledd, gan fod y grwpiau hyn yn cael eu tangynrychioli o fewn Action for Children.
Ar hyn o bryd mae dynion wedi'u tangynrychioli o fewn ein rolau Gwasanaeth Plant. Hoffem newid hynny. Felly, rydym yn annog dynion i wneud cais am unrhyw un o'n rolau Gwasanaeth Plant.
