Job summary

West Sussex County Council is seeking a Family Support Key Worker for the Chichester hub. You will deliver high-level support to families with complex needs within theEarly Help framework and use a single-family plan to achieve agreed outcomes.

You will engage with hard-to-reach families, collaborate with multi-agency partners, and may work outside standard hours. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for county-wide travel.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification, degree level preferably, or demonstrable experience providing support to people in stressful situations.
• Demonstrable experience of working with families in crisis to provide support.
• Experience interpreting families’ needs and assisting access to appropriate services.
• Experience working in a multi-agency team environment and maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver intensive support to families in need as part of the Early Help offer.
• Work closely and intensively with whole families using a single-family plan with agreed outcomes.
• Engage with hard-to-reach families and cooperate with multi-agency stakeholders.
• Travel around the county occasionally; driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
