Overview

Family Solicitor (locum position), 6+ PQE, Bedfordshire, part time role, circa 12-month FTC. Opportunity for a part-time locum Family Solicitor to provide approximately 12 months of maternity cover starting next year. The firm offers support from a legal assistant, guidance from a senior solicitor and the family department manager, a professional and friendly working environment, and competitive locum rates.

Responsibilities

• Handle a caseload of private family law matters, including children’s cases, TOLATA disputes, and financial remedy proceedings.
• conduct client consultations, offering clear and practical legal guidance, and advance cases independently with minimal oversight.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitors with 6+ years PQE in family law.
• Confident in independently handling both children and financial remedy matters.
• Experience or familiarity with TOLATA cases.
• Strong client care and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to a developing office environment and contribute to its growth.
• Available to commence cover from 2026.
