Job description

Family Solicitor (2+ PQE) | Sudbury, Suffolk

This is an opportunity to step into a key role within a growing Family Law team, based in Sudbury, a busy and close-knit market town with deep community roots.

You'll be part of a supportive, well-established firm that's continuing to expand its Family Law presence across the region, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with it.

You'll have space to build your personal brand as a trusted advisor in the area, backed by a strong team, quality caseload, and a modern approach to flexibility and wellbeing.

The work you'll be doing:

  • Managing a varied and engaging caseload including divorce, financial settlements, Children Act matters, and cohabitation disputes.
  • Supporting individuals through some of the most sensitive and life-changing decisions they'll ever make, with empathy and clarity.
  • Building relationships with local clients and becoming a go-to name in the region for trusted Family Law advice.
  • Having the freedom to run files independently, while still being part of a collaborative team that has your back.

What you'll bring:

  • Strong experience across Divorce and Financial Remedy, Children Act work, and ideally, relationship agreements for both married and unmarried couples.
  • A confident, calm and client-focused manner, with the emotional intelligence to listen and advise in equal measure.
  • The ability to handle your own caseload, with access to experienced colleagues when you want to bounce ideas or need input.
  • A genuine interest in developing your profile and making your mark in the local community.

What's on offer:

  • 28 days' holiday (plus bank holidays) and family-first policies including enhanced maternity, paternity, and family events leave.
  • Access to dental and health cashback schemes after your first year, plus 24/7 virtual GP and mental wellbeing support.
  • Life insurance, cycle-to-work scheme, and company sick pay.
  • A relaxed, flexible work culture where people stay because they're supported, not micromanaged.

If you're looking to take ownership of your work, grow your name in a region where your expertise is valued, and do it all with the right support around you, this could be the role for you.
