Job description

Job title: Family Solicitor
Location: Reading
Salary: £55,000-£70,000
PQE Level: 2-5 PQE
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Full-time

We have an exciting opportunity for a Family Solicitor to join our client's growing and highly regarded team in Berkshire. Reporting to the Family Partner, you will manage your own client base while contributing to the continued development of the department.

The successful candidate will have 2-5 years' PQE and proven experience of handling their own matters. You will inherit an existing caseload and be encouraged to play an active role in developing new work, with strong support from the wider team.

The ideal individual will be ambitious, commercially aware, and passionate about modern approaches to family law. Experience with high‑net‑worth clients or complex matters is highly valued, alongside enthusiasm for non‑court dispute resolution. Mediation or collaborative training is preferred but not essential.

Membership of Resolution, excellent client service, and strong communication skills are essential. You should be confident working independently, supervising junior colleagues, and contributing to business development activities.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive team, working across all areas of private family law including divorce, financial matters, children disputes, and proactive family agreements.
