Female Family Safeguarding Team Domestic Abuse Worker

Location: Mendip/ Sedgemoor

Salary: £29,919 per year

Permanent, Full Time (40 hours)

Essential Requirements:

  • Full UK drivers Licence
  • 1 year experience in safeguarding adults or children

The Role:

The overall purpose of this role is to work with families, where there is an ongoing history of domestic abuse, to achieve their goals and improve outcomes for families. The skilled and experienced post holder will be dual located, primarily working as part of a multi-agency team (Family Safeguarding Team - FST) within social care, with designated time within the local DA team. The post holder will engage with families, complete needs-led assessments, design and deliver interventions to safeguard adults and children, and broker additional support as needed. They will be responsible for raising awareness and supporting others in understanding the dynamics of domestic abuse and its impact.
