As a Family Safeguarding Social Worker, you will work alongside adult practitioners to inform assessments in areas like substance misuse, domestic abuse, and mental health. You will undertake direct work with children and young people, engage with families via Family Group Conferencing, and support them to identify strengths and implement change. Regular supervision and a manageable caseload will enable you to be innovative and creative in your approach.
You should be a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England, with substantial experience working with children and families. A passion for relationship-based social work and the ability to reflect and think creatively are essential.
This role is based in Bridgwater with flexible working options. A full driving license and access to a vehicle are required. The salary ranges from £36,124 to £40,476 per annum. The role requires a criminal check via the disclosure procedure.
