Job description

We are seeking a Family Practitioner in our Place2Be schools across Greater Manchester. The role will be 3 days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

We know early intervention and working with parents significantly increase successful outcomes for children. Positive parenting has a major impact on a child's life chances. That's why our Family Practitioner role is fundamental to our whole school approach. Working with children and their families, you'll help adults better understand and support their child's mental health needs. You'll be key in establishing relationships with parents, demystifying and reducing stigma around mental health, ensuring all children have access to the support they need. You’ll also help parents develop effective and confident parenting skills.

You will have a Level 4 diploma in Health and Social Care, Early Years, or Counselling and Psychotherapy, and experience working in family support services or early years children’s centres, supporting children and families, and delivering parenting interventions or programmes. You will have access to extensive training and development opportunities and a pathway to grow your career. Working closely with clinicians in schools and across your region, you will be part of a wider community sharing best practices, developing new concepts, and shaping future services.
