Family Paralegal - Wolverhampton

Salary: £22,000 - £25,000

Location: Wolverhampton – Office Based

A well-established Wolverhampton firm, known to us as a long-term client, is looking to add an experienced Family Paralegal to their team. The firm offers modern, well-equipped offices in a convenient location accessible via public transport. The successful candidate will work within a cohesive team of Assistants, Fee Earners, and Partners, handling a full range of Paralegal duties.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting Solicitors and Partners with their caseloads, with opportunities to work independently on various tasks.
• Drafting notices in accordance with client instructions.
• Registering interests on the Common Platform for criminal matters and familiar with Egress, CJSM, and Crown Court Digital Case System.
• Engaging with clients and preparing evidence for court.
• Attending client meetings and assisting colleagues with case strategy.
• Identifying experts from the Firm's Expert Register, obtaining quotations, and securing funding.
• Liaising with Counsel and attending court sessions.
• Preparing trial bundle indexes and bundles.
• Participating in meetings and performing administrative tasks as needed.

Skills and Experience:

• Previous Family Paralegal or Assistant experience is essential.
• Proficiency in IT applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good time management and prioritization skills.
• Commitment to excellent customer service and empathy when dealing with clients and witnesses.
• Ability to meet or exceed targets, and to work well within a team.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, approachable, and able to remain calm under pressure.
