We are currently recruiting for a FO & PC Tax Assistant Manager to join our successful Family Office & Private Client team based in Bristol or Reading.

The Team

As a national practice, our FO&PC team consists of 159 members across the UK, led by 11 Partners and 16 Directors.

We work with high net worth individuals, including stakeholders in privately owned and entrepreneurial businesses, executives of multinational firms, landed estates, and members of private equity firms, who may be tax resident and/or domiciled in various jurisdictions. We also provide advice to Trusts, Estates, and Partnerships.

If you are a highly motivated qualified tax adviser/ accountant (ATT, CTA, or ACA/ACCA) with experience in personal tax, we'd love to hear from you. We also value highly motivated individuals qualified through experience rather than exams and invite you to apply.

What will you be doing?

This role is primarily advisory, working with high net worth individuals on UK and international tax issues, as well as entrepreneurial businesses and shareholder-owned companies. Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality personal tax services to clients.
  • Managing a diverse portfolio of complex clients and providing advice on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, income tax, international tax matters, and identifying opportunities for tax planning.
  • Providing bespoke tax advice and solutions for unique assignments.
  • Project managing tax advisory assignments to meet deadlines, risk, and compliance requirements.
  • Managing work in progress, billing, and cash collection.
  • Overseeing the performance and development of junior staff.

What will you need to do it?

Candidates should have:

  • Qualified accountant or tax advisor with experience in personal tax and a varied client base.
  • Strong academic results and understanding of private client issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver bespoke tax solutions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • High analytical skills and a commercial approach.
