Job Description:

We are delighted to be part of FNP, in line with the Scottish Government Commitment to roll out FNP in Scotland.

We have been supporting families across NHS Forth Valley continuously since September 2017.

Key to the success will be the appointment of part-time and full-time family nurses to our team.

The successful applicant must be available to attend all mandatory FNP Education over an 18-month period. Education is facilitated using a hybrid model of online and face-to-face learning, including some residential sessions. The first module, Foundations in FNP Practice, begins on September 2, 2025 (all dates attached). All new Family Nurses will have the option to undertake the Professional Diploma in Family Nursing, which upon successful completion, awards 60 Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) Level 11 points.

Further details on FNP and the advertised position are available from Elaine Thorburn, Family Nurse Supervisor, at 01324 574520 and Margaret-Ann Williamson, Family Nurse Supervisor, at 01259 290201.

Note: Successful applicants are required to attend mandatory residential training events across the UK.

The duties of this position require the candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. More information on this scheme can be found at [link].
