The role will involve a broad mix of family law work, covering both public and private matters. • Work collaboratively with the Head of Department on complex and high-value cases.
  • Deliver high-quality, client-focused legal advice and representation.
  • Attend court hearings and meetings as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant family law legislation and case law.

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor with ideally 3–6 years PQE, although candidates outside this range who can demonstrate the necessary skill and independence will be considered.
  • Experience in either public or private family law, or both.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a full caseload.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Resolution membership and/or Children Panel accreditation would be advantageous.

Why Join Us?

  • Work within the firm’s busiest and most established department.
  • Supportive environment with direct collaboration with the Head of Department.
  • Offices in both Southend and Chelmsford, offering location flexibility.
  • Opportunities for career growth and development.
