We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide administrative support to our legal team and assist in the smooth operation of our law office. Your exceptional organizational skills and ability to analyze information will be crucial in ensuring the efficient handling of legal matters.
Duties
Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, contracts, and agreements
Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
Organize and maintain legal files and documents
Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings
Prepare correspondence and draft letters on behalf of attorneys
Manage billing and invoicing processes
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Perform general administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role is preferred
Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in using legal software and databases for research and document management
Ability to analyze complex information and provide concise summaries
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
