My client is recruiting for an experienced Family Law Fee Earner to join their office in Salisbury or Chippenham, Wiltshire.

This is an opportunity to join a well established Family department, managing a varied caseload of private family matters. The role would suit a qualified Solicitor, CILEX professional or experienced Paralegal with a strong background in private family law.

The Role

• Managing a varied caseload of private family law matters.
• Providing clear, practical and effective legal advice to clients.
• Advising on separation, divorce, dissolution, arrangements for children and matrimonial finances.
• Advising on pre and post-marriage agreements and related matters.
• Supporting clients through sensitive and often complex family situations.
• Promoting Non-Court Dispute Resolution where appropriate.
• Drafting legal documents including Forms E, consent orders and divorce applications.
• Running court cases effectively and efficiently.
• Preparing, paginating and indexing court bundles in accordance with court rules and firm standards.
• Maintaining accurate and up to date case management records.
• Proactively identifying risks, resolving issues and progressing matters efficiently.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, clients and professional contacts.
• Contributing to business development where appropriate.

The Candidate

• Be a qualified Solicitor, CILEX professional or experienced Paralegal.
• Have a minimum of around 3 years' experience in Family Law, with a strong background in private family matters.
• Have excellent technical, drafting and communication skills.
• Be able to provide clear, practical and objective legal advice.
• Have excellent client care skills and strong emotional intelligence.
• Be empathetic and confident when dealing with clients experiencing difficult or high stress situations.
• Have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload and competing deadlines.
• Be proactive, professional and committed to delivering a high standard of service.
• Demonstrate a willingness to develop their knowledge and continue learning.
• Be comfortable working both independently and as part of a specialist Family team.
