We are looking to appoint a dynamic Band 7 Family Interventions Worker at the Early Intervention in Psychosis Service in Barking & Dagenham.
The successful candidate will provide Family Interventions for individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis and their families, support the provision of carer wellbeing interventions and carers' groups. A core part of the role will also involve the provision of teaching, consultation and supervision to members of the MDT.
Applicants should have experience of providing structured interventions to families and carers, and will have accessed training in at least one form of family work. Supervision will be provided by a senior Clinical Psychologist within the team. Additionally, we offer monthly FIp group supervision.
The post holder will join a well-established and supportive early intervention in psychosis service for people with a psychotic diagnosis and their families. The post holder will join a group of therapists in the EIP team, working with people aged between 14-65 who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis.
This post will suit someone with an interest in developing their skills in applying evidence-based psychological therapies with this client group and working with multi-disciplinary teams. The post holders will be expected to participate in supervision and CPD focused on evidence-based interventions in psychosis.
