The ideal candidate is hardworking, communicates effectively, and can manage travel across the district, ensuring a welcoming environment for families. This full-time role offers flexible arrangements and training in Family Hub projects.
Family Hubs provide a place to get the local support and services families need. Kent Family Hubs offer advice, support and services to help throughout a family’s journey, from newborns to 19-year-olds, or up to 25-year olds with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Family Hub Practitioners have a key role in Kent's Family Hubs, with a focus on young people in the 11-19 years age range. The role involves running groups such as Compass (a course based on Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) for young people, and providing 1-1 support in the home, school or Family Hub to educate or coach them through current challenges. The Hubs are placed at the heart of communities to enable families to access help at the right time.
