Family Hub Manager Children and Young People Disabilities

Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Manager to lead our Children and Young People with Disability Community Hub in Dagenham. Our hub offers group activities, parenting support, drop-in sessions, holiday activities, and a sensory room, all aimed at children with disabilities and their families.

The role involves managing a team of Early Intervention Workers, overseeing planning and outcomes, ensuring quality and safety, liaising with multi-agency partners, monitoring outcomes and value for money, and safeguarding children. You will also contribute to developing the hub's services based on community needs and ensure children’s voices are heard and recorded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support the team of Early Intervention Workers.
  • Oversee planning, outcomes, and quality assurance of activities.
  • Develop and adapt the hub's services to meet community needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with multi-agency partners.
  • Monitor and report on outcomes and resource use.
  • Respond to safeguarding concerns and ensure children's safety.
  • Ensure children’s voices are central in all work.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Social Work degree and completed ASYE.
  • Social Work England registration.
  • Experience working with children and young people with disabilities.
  • Experience managing teams and resources.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
About You

You will be a qualified social worker with significant experience in disability services, capable of managing in a busy environment, and prioritising work to meet targets. You should have experience in devising care packages, managing budgets, and liaising with partners to ensure effective service delivery.
