Northumberland County Council is recruiting a Family Help Worker (Early Help) to support children and families across the Central Northumberland Locality. The role is office based with flexible home-working, 37 hours per week, and a starting salary of £31,537.
You will assess, plan and coordinate Early Help processes, lead family plans and chair TAF meetings, and work with partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes while following safeguarding protocols.
We are looking to recruit a Family Help Worker (Early Help) to support families with children and young people 0-19 within Northumberland’s Supporting Families Framework. The vacancy is to support children and families across the Central Northumberland Locality covering Ashington, Bedlington, Choppington, Newbiggin & Morpeth areas. This exciting opportunity will be to work with any children & young people. There is one full time position (37 hours per week) available.
Working within an established team, we are looking for self-motivated and responsible applicants, with good communication skills. You will enjoy working as part of a team but also be able to use your own initiative and work independently to manage your commitments and organise your time. You will need to be competent in working directly with children and families, completing assessments, leading family plans and be able to work effectively alongside our partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children and families. We provide a full induction programme to our supportive and nurturing team approach. We encourage and value your personal and professional development and you will be joining an enthusiastic, welcoming and committed team who are keen for you to succeed. The role is office based, with some flexibility to work from home at times, agreed through your line manager. As we are committed to keeping children and young people safe, we will apply for enhanced DBS checks.
