Hertfordshire County Council is recruiting an FGC Coordinator to facilitate Family Group Conferences and support families affected by child protection processes. The role involves direct work with children and families and collaboration with multi-agency teams to ensure services are offered under the Family Group Conference model.

Applicants should have child social care experience, strong communication and IT skills, a valid driving licence, and a recognised social work qualification.

Qualifications

• Experience in child social care or a similar setting.
• Experience delivering high-quality work for families, children and young people.
• Direct experience of children and young people’s participation.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and facilitate Family Group Conferences.
• Work with Multi-Agency Child Protection Teams to offer FGC when appropriate.
• Empower families to develop a plan of support for their children.
• Be able to manage groups and meetings and handle complex family dynamics.
