Salary Type: Bucks pay
Salary details: Range 3-4 Dependence on Experience - £28,129 to £32,594 Pro-rata (Actual Salary £20,954 to £24,390)
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Term Time Only (Part-Time considered for the right person)

Stony Dean School is a heavily oversubscribed secondary special school situated in Amersham for students with Communication and Interaction difficulties.

The role will be focussed on being a champion for students and families. The right candidate will be our familiy advocate who will work closely with families to support their child's attendance; to understand the causes for their attendance level and steps to improve this. The role is also designed to work with families identifying meaningful outcomes for a young persons' future aspirations and helping design a curriculum, which will support their underlying needs.

We need someone with superb communication skills in all areas. That person needs to understand students with Autism, Moderate Learning Needs and mental health challenges. You will need to work together with a range of different professionals to support each family and each family will need something bespoke to them. This will require a level of understanding of the education system and what successful personalised outcomes look like for different pupils.
