What you will do:

  • Act as a 'Children's Guardian' by promoting and safeguarding the interests of children throughout court proceedings.
  • Write comprehensive Section 7 reports in private law cases when required, helping judges make informed and safe decisions.
  • Collaborate with the Wellbeing and Family Help (WAFH) team, taking responsibility for caseloads in both public and private law.
  • Conduct face-to-face visits and remote working using video and phone calls, adapting to the needs of each case.
  • Liaise with local authorities if a child is considered at risk of significant harm, influencing interventions to protect the child.
