Job summary

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Children’s Social Worker to join its client’s Family Court Advice team, based in Peterborough. The role focuses on safeguarding and risk assessments, producing court reports, and advocating for the child’s best interests.

You will work with multi-agency partners to manage a varied caseload in Public and Private Law, ensuring the child’s voice remains central throughout proceedings.

Qualifications

• Social Work England registration is required.
• Degree in Social Work or equivalent is required.
• Post-qualification experience preferred.
• Eligibility to work in the UK is required.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safeguarding checks and risk assessments within family court proceedings.
• Gather, analyse, and evaluate complex information relating to child welfare and protection concerns.
• Prepare high-quality court reports, statements, and recommendations.
• Represent and advocate for the child's wishes, feelings, and best interests.
• Undertake direct work with children, young people, and families.
• Provide expert advice to courts on safeguarding and welfare matters.
• Manage a varied caseload across Public Law and Private Law proceedings.
• Work with local authorities, legal representatives, schools, healthcare professionals, and partner agencies.
• Support the delivery of the Child Focused Court Model (CFC), ensuring children's voices remain central.
• Maintain accurate case records and utilise case management systems effectively.
