Job summary

Aspire Recruitment is seeking an Engagement Worker in Oldham. Hybrid role involving office, community and home visits, with a salary of £27,013.56 – £29,552.02 per annum. You will manage a caseload, complete assessments and develop tailored support plans to empower families and individuals.

You will work alongside partner agencies, deliver one-to-one support, and help service users access housing, debt advice and mental health services, ensuring positive, sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Caseload experience in a support, community, housing, social care or related setting.
• Experience completing assessments and developing personalised support plans.
• Strong relationship‑building with children, young people and adults.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience using electronic recording or case management systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi‑agency team.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Passion for early intervention and empowering people to make positive changes.
• Flexibility to work across office, community and home-based settings.

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of families, adults and households requiring early intervention support.
• Completing assessments and developing personalised support plans.
• Delivering one‑to‑one support and guidance to address personal, social and practical challenges.
• Building positive and trusting relationships with service users and their families.
• Supporting individuals to access housing, debt advice, mental health support and parenting programmes.
• Collaborating with partner agencies and professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
• Maintaining accurate records using electronic case management systems.
• Monitoring progress and reviewing support plans to ensure long‑term positive change.
• Undertaking community and home visits as required.
• Promoting independence, resilience and self‑confidence through strengths‑based interventions.
