Job summary

Nelsons is seeking an ambitious Family Associate Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our established Family teams in Leicester. You will manage your own caseload and work with a highly regarded team on high-value, technically challenging matters.

The role covers private family law, including divorce, financial remedy proceedings, cohabitation disputes, nuptial agreements, private children matters, and domestic abuse applications.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor or legal executive in Family Law.
• Experience handling divorce, financial remedy, private children matters, and related family disputes.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on all aspects of Private Family Law (e.g., divorce, financial remedy, private children matters).
• Manage own caseload from instruction through to conclusion while supporting business development.
• Work closely with the Family team on high‑value and technically challenging matters.
• Assist with the continued growth and success of the Family department.

Family Associate Solicitor

We are seeking an ambitious, hardworking, personable Family Law Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our well-established Family teams in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic solicitor looking to develop their career within a supportive and highly regarded practice that advises clients on a broad range of complex and sensitive family matters.

You will manage your own caseload whilst working closely with our highly regarded team on high-value and technically challenging matters.

The Role

As an Associate Solicitor in the team, you will be advising clients on all aspects of Private Family Law, including:

• Divorce and separation
• Financial remedy proceedings
• Cohabitation disputes
• Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
• Private children matters
• Domestic abuse applications

You will be managing matters from instruction through to conclusion, building and maintaining strong client relationships as well as supporting business development initiatives and networking activities.

You will be assisting with the continued growth and success of the Family department.
