Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

The Family and Friends Assessment team is a stable team working closely together to ensure the safety of children and suitable family placements for vulnerable children in Liverpool. The team operates under supportive management. Due to an increase in the looked after children population, we are seeking 2 qualified social workers capable of completing viability reports and family and friends assessments.

You will have experience in:

  • Fostering, preferably with safeguarding experience
  • Completing form C fostering assessments
  • Presenting assessments to the fostering panel
  • Completing viability, kinship, and SGO assessments
  • Fostering regulations/legislation and National Minimum Standards
  • Working to court timescales
  • Collaborating with local authority child care and legal teams

Pay rate: £40ph ltd status, minimum 6-month initial placement, hybrid working.

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification in social work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced DBS/Update service
  • References for the last 5 years of employment
