Job summary

Virgin Active is recruiting a Family Activities Manager to lead the Family Activities Team. The role oversees activities for children from 6 weeks to 16 years, ensures compliance with regulatory bodies, and delivers a comprehensive swim lesson programme for all ages.

You’ll train staff, manage safety, and drive member satisfaction across a vibrant club environment. The role is a full-time contract (40 hours) with a salary range of £32,188 to £33,600, plus extensive employee perks within a

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management and compliance of all Family Activities for children aged 6 weeks to 16 years.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safeguarding standards across the club.
• Develop and run group and individual swim lessons for children and adults, plus holiday courses and pool hire activities.
• Maintain knowledge of STA England requirements and Virgin Active guidelines.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and staff are trained on reporting procedures.
• Cover Duty Shift as needed and lead by example in club management.

In this role, you will play a part in leading the Family Activities Team to deliver outstanding member experiences daily.

The Role

• Overseeing the day-to-day management and compliance of all Family Activities for children aged 6weeks to 16yrs, while creating a fun, lively and creative atmosphere for all members.
• Ensuring the club meets statutory requirements in relation to Regulatory Bodies and work with the Club management team to always ensure compliancy.
• Providing all children in your care are adequately cared for according to statutory and VA guidelines.
• Develop and oversee the running of a comprehensive programme of group and individual Swim lessons for children and adults, to also include all holiday crash course activity programming and other related pool hire activities.
• Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of STA England’s requirements and Virgin Active’s best practice guidelines and always ensure compliance.
• Ensuring the club is kept safe for all members through the Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults policy and that all team members & HOD’s are fully trained on the correct reporting procedures.
• Taking on the responsibilities of the Duty Shift as needed, demonstrating flexibility and dedication to the needs of the business, leading by example in all aspects of club management.
