Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is recruiting for a Senior Falls prevention role within the Hospital Falls Team. The post focuses on advising staff, patients and carers and delivering interventions to reduce patient falls in acute services across NHSGGC.

The role requires a degree-level nursing qualification and experience with older adults, plus skills in teaching and coaching and a full driving licence. The post offers flexible working and a supportive employee benefits package.

Qualifications

• First-level Registered Nurse educated to degree level.
• Experience working with older people.
• Post-registration qualification in care of older adults desirable.
• Knowledge of patient safety interventions and falls prevention.
• Teaching, coaching and educational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist falls prevention advice and interventions.
• Deliver clinical interventions to reduce the risk of patient falls.
• Support patient safety initiatives across Acute Services.
• Contribute to quality improvement activities and clinical audits.
• Educate, coach, mentor and support healthcare staff.
