Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Fall Arrest Installation Team Leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe on-site installation of fall protection and rope access equipment, ensuring compliance with design drawings, industry standards, and safety protocols. You will lead your team to perform installations safely and efficiently, maintaining high standards.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead specific installation operations on-site, ensuring team cohesion and efficiency.
- Maintain communication with Site Managers and clients throughout projects.
- Ensure installations follow Method Statements, approved drawings, British Standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Oversee maintenance of equipment, materials, and vehicles.
- Complete all necessary paperwork promptly, utilizing basic IT skills for reporting and online portals.
- Present a professional image by wearing corporate clothing and keeping company vehicles clean.
Key Challenges:
- Working outdoors at heights, accessing rooftops and difficult locations.
- Handling and lifting light equipment across diverse sites, including high-rise and industrial structures.
- Driving is required due to the geographic spread of clients.
Role Dimensions:
- Represent the company professionally, providing excellent customer service.
- Assess and implement improvements to site efficiency based on feedback.
- Engage in personal development and training to enhance skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel across the UK, with expenses covered.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Experience working at heights and in small teams is desirable.
- Excellent time management and flexibility.
- Problem-solving skills for on-site challenges.
- Experience in installing and testing fixings (torque setting) in construction or related fields.
- Certifications: SSSTS/IOSH or equivalent, CSCS Card.
- Physically fit and able to work at heights.
- Motivated with a high level of personal pride.
- Full, clean driving license.
