The Failsafe Officer acts as a final safeguard to ensure that no patients are missed or lost to follow-up due to administrative oversight or clinical process delays. Working closely with clinical teams, administrative staff, and IT systems, the post-holder will monitor and audit high-risk patient pathways, investigate potential gaps, and ensure timely intervention or escalation where required. This role is essential in supporting compliance with national safety guidelines and maintaining high standards of care. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organised, and able to work independently in a busy clinical environment.
Work schedule: 30 hours over 4 days, Monday to Friday.

The salary reflects the Agenda for Change 2025/6 rates, including a 3.6% pay award to be implemented later this year. If you join before the implementation, the backdated pay will be applied from your start date. Until then, remuneration is based on the 2024/5 pay bandings.
