The role

We are seeking a proactive Marketing Manager for our ambitious Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. The faculty has five schools, all working together under a one 'One Health' vision, to provide interdisciplinary research and teaching in human and animal health.

About you

The successful candidate will be a skilled relationship manager who has experience in data and insight analysis and reporting. An experienced marketing practitioner who can demonstrate strategic ability in their thinking and development of marketing plans, while also be results driven, willing to roll their sleeves up to support their wider team.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have a background in education marketing or similar with a passion for health and medical sciences. This role is the programme expert for their faculty, championing the 'Why Surrey' narrative for core courses and understanding the competitor positioning at a faculty/school or department level. They will effectively communicate these to internal and external audiences and ensure good communication channels between the Faculty and the Central marketing, recruitment and admissions teams. They will work closely with senior faculty management team and heads of schools to develop marketing plans and then be responsible for the delivery of these plans in conjunction with the wider marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Great relationship management skills - emotional intelligence to work with a variety of different stakeholders and colleagues in support of the faculty's strategic objectives.
  • Proven experience across the Marketing mix and, in particular data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in managing a busy workload, and the ability to multi-task concurrent projects across a variety of Schools/ Departments.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in leading multi-disciplined project teams and line management of direct reports to achieve common objectives and outcomes.
  • Demonstrable passion and enthusiasm for Health and Medical Sciences.
