Role Overview

Are you passionate about supporting the University and Faculty's strategic objectives, balancing academic and financial considerations? Do you see yourself as a strategic business partner capable of providing leadership with outstanding service in a fast-paced, complex environment?

As an experienced business partner, you will develop and implement detailed financial plans, interpret complex financial information, and communicate effectively. Building networks and influencing outcomes will be key aspects of your role.

Responsibilities

• Shape and support strategic plans within the Faculty of Environment.
• Drive financial sustainability and manage financial risks.
• Ensure accurate preparation of financial plans, forecasts, statutory returns, and monthly accounts for strategic and operational decision-making.
• Deputise for the Faculty Head of Finance and manage the Faculty finance team, including workload management and team development.

Candidate Requirements

• CCAB qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) and/or extensive senior management accounting experience.
• Strong line management skills, interpersonal skills, resilience, and credibility.

Additional Information

This position is within the University Finance Service, located in the Faculty of Environment. Deployment elsewhere within the Finance Service may occur after consultation.
