Job summary

The Compleat Food Group is recruiting a Factory Technical Manager for our Milton Keynes site. You will lead the technical function, drive quality and food safety standards, and deliver site technical plans in line with retailer requirements.

You will guide a capable factory technical team, use data to improve performance, and support audits, product development, and customer visits. A strong background in food manufacturing and retailer standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven technical/quality management experience in a fast-paced environment (ideally chilled foods).
• Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively in reactive environments.
• UK retailer experience and BRC familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellence in technical customer management and ensure compliance with client expectations and management.
• Manage the factory technical team on a day-to-day basis, delivering excellent factory standards and continuous improvements.
• Deliver technical plans for the site that meet retailers’ and company requirements.
• Set SMART objectives for technical function and team with regular reviews.
• Collaborate with Senior Leadership Team and site departments to ensure safe, legal, high-quality products.
• Use data to monitor site performance and drive continual improvement.
• Develop and improve customer joint quality plans.
• Assist with customer visits, audits and product launches.
• Maintain high audit accreditation.
• Support product process and design from a technical viewpoint.
• Deputise for the site Head of Technical.
