Job description

A leading manufacturing company based in the heart of the Medway Towns is seeking a skilled and experienced Team Leader to join their production team on a permanent basis.

As Production Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of Assembly Operators, ensuring production targets are met with efficiency and quality. This office-based role involves rotating shifts:

Week 1: Mon-Thu 6am-2pm, Fri 6am-1pm
Week 2: Mon-Thu 2pm-10pm, Fri 1pm-8pm

Key Duties:
  • Allocate and supervise daily and weekly tasks
  • Manage recruitment, inductions, absences, and performance
  • Maintain training records and conduct skills assessments
  • Lead team briefings and drive performance against KPIs
  • Ensure product quality and production efficiency
  • Oversee inventory and stock movement using SAP
  • Collaborate with Engineering on equipment maintenance
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Promote and ensure Health & Safety compliance
  • Support budget-related activities with the Production Manager
Requirements:
  • GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Proven experience in a production assembly environment
