Factory Production Manager – Food Production

Are you an experienced production leader from a food manufacturing background, ready to take on a hands-on leadership role? We are seeking a Factory/Production Manager to lead a high-end smoked salmon facility based in North Lanarkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and reputable producer supplying luxury food products to top-tier retailers and hospitality clients.

The Role

As the Factory/Production Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the production facility. Your responsibilities include ensuring smooth operations, maintaining product quality, leading your team, and driving continuous improvement to uphold excellence and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Management
2. Lead daily operations of the smoked salmon production facility.
3. Maintain production schedules, quality standards, and safety compliance.
4. Adopt a hands-on approach to problem-solving and operational oversight.
5. Quality & Compliance
6. Enforce rigorous quality control and hygiene protocols.
7. Collaborate with QA teams to implement corrective actions where needed.
8. Ensure adherence to food safety and environmental regulations.
9. Lead, train, and develop production teams and supervisors.
10. Foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
11. Conduct performance reviews and support staff growth.
12. Identify and implement process enhancements.
13. Apply Lean Manufacturing and cost-saving strategies.
14. Cost & Performance Management
15. Monitor production costs and efficiency KPIs.
16. Prepare performance and operational reports for senior management.
